Production Manager/Manufacturing Engineer
Granite City, ILEhrhardt Automation Systems is looking for an experienced Production Manager/Manufacturing Engineering Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of precision sheet metal stamping and machined components. You will be ultimately responsible for the efficient manufacturing of all products and the quality of output. The ideal candidate will have deep know-how in production procedures. The ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision making and problem-solving are also essential and will contribute to most of a typical day.
The overall goal of the Production manager is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer expectations.
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 annually, dependent on experience.

Position Summary
Directs and coordinates activities of the production department in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties:
Job Description Responsibilities:
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
- Interpret company policies to workers and follow and enforce safety regulations.
- Plan production operations- establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products according to manufacturing procedures.
- Prepare operations schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications according to manufacturing procedures.
- Monitor production to resolve issues.
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (machinists, press workers, etc.)
- Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.)
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Approve maintenance work, purchasing of supplies, etc.
- Compile, store and retrieve production data.
- Report to management with regular updates
- BSc/BA in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
- 5 + years proven experience as a Production Manager, with deep knowledge of production management.
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of employee performance evaluation
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Outstanding communication ability
- Excellent organizational leadership skills
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Management of 30 plus employees is a plus.
- Production planning is a plus
- Stamping die knowledge is preferred
